    The Bradenton Police Department is responsible for protecting the city of Bradenton, community development, enforcement of law and order, and maintain the highest of training standards inside of the BPD. Bradenton Training Division duties is to train the officer's on protecting the city and oversee there day to day operations on the streets of Bradenton!

    Expectations

    In order to join the Department we require a certain number of traits that you possess. Below we have listed both primary and secondary skills which we would consider a mandatory requirement and a foundation for an applicant so that it can be built on during the academy. As a peace officer with the Bradenton Police Department, you are expected to demonstrate respect, sensitivity, and interpersonal skills, while making sound decisions and working well in a team. Maturity, discipline, honesty, integrity, and strong personal ethics are essential, along with the ability to set and achieve personal goals. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is also required.

Each Bureau and Division is meticulously crafted to address PD Agencies' unique challenges and demands, ensuring a comprehensive approach to safeguarding the City of Bradenton.

    Training Division
    Committed to excellence, our Training Division is the cornerstone of skill enhancement and knowledge acquisition for our officers. Led by experienced Field Training Officers (FTOs), we prioritize continuous training to empower our personnel with the latest techniques and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

    Detective Bureau
    The Detective Bureau is the first line of investigations within the Municipal Police Department, this Bureau is tasked with investigating calls relating to murder, vehicle theft, robbery, and many more calls of service. This Bureau works closely with every Municipal Police Division that we offer to investigate fully and provide the up most safety to the state of San Andreas.

    Air Support Division
    The Air Support Division utilizes fixed wing airplanes and Helicopters for traffic safety, recovering stolen vehicles, pursuits, and other calls of service. We offer this division to our officers so they can get hands on experience of calls from the skys, each aircraft we have has a assigned Pilot and TFO (Tactical Flight Officer). Our helicopters are used for keeping up to pursuits, search and rescues, locating a suspect, and many more.

    Traffic Enforcement Unit
    The Traffic Enforcement Unit is in charge of motor safety, crash reconstruction, and many more calls of service. Each Traffic Enforcement Officer is a dedicated DUI Certified officer, the Traffic Enforcement Unit mainly focus on road safety such as DUI's, seatbelt violations, phone violations, and many other traffic laws. They are also assigned and first call to Motor Vehicle Accidents.

    Canine Unit
    The Bradenton Police Department Canine Unit is tasked with search and rescues, suspect apprehension, and many more. The main task of a Canine Officer is suspect apprehension and search dogs, each dog is a certified drug and gun sniffing dog. The Canine Unit also has Bomb sniffing dogs but those dogs can only be handled by a Bradenton Police Department SWAT Officer who is EOD certified.

    Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)
    The Bradenton Police Department SWAT Team is a elite and heavily trained team tasked with protecting the city from the most dangerous of criminals. They are only called for barricaded suspects, suspect man hunts, and many more calls that normal patrol officers are not certified to handle. This team has many certifications including but not limited to Bomb Squad, Crisis Negotiations, and marksman

    BPD Certifications
    The Bradenton Police Department offers a wide span of certifications our officers can receive, each certification has there own duties and can be obtained by any officer as long as they meet the minimum rank requirements which can be found inside of the Bradenton Police Department official discord. 

    Certifications: Field Training Operations, Motorcycle Unit, Internal Affairs Division (IAD), and more certifications coming soon!
